Salina Fire Department to Host 9/11 Tribute and Station #4 Open House
The Salina Fire Department will host a 25th anniversary 9/11 tribute ceremony and open house for the new Fire Station #4 on September 11, 2024.
The tribute ceremony begins at 8:55 a.m. at Fire Station #4, located at 2600 E. Crawford Street. The community is invited to join firefighters, city officials, and residents in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the first responders and service members who answered the call that day.
Fire Station #4 Dedication and Open House
Following the ceremony, the fire department will officially dedicate the new Fire Station #4 and host an open house until 12:00 p.m. Visitors can tour the facility, meet Salina firefighters, and learn about emergency response and fire prevention services. Donuts and coffee will be provided.
Event Details
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees should arrive early to allow time for parking and seating before the 8:55 a.m. ceremony begins.
Parking is available at the Berkley Family Rec area ball field parking lot. The fire department requests that attendees use this location to avoid congestion around the station.
