Salina Planning Commission Meeting Adjourned for Lack of Quorum, Rescheduled to Sept. 15
The Salina Planning Commission adjourned its September 1, 2026, meeting shortly after calling it to order because it lacked a quorum. The presiding officer, citing the planning commission bylaws, declared the meeting adjourned to Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in Room 107 of the City-County Building.
Before adjourning, the presiding officer confirmed that all items on the September 1 agenda would be carried over to the rescheduled meeting. Those items include noticed public hearings on applications CUP26-00003, ZMA26-006, and ZMA26-00007, as well as consideration of application FP26-003.
At the start of the meeting, staff confirmed that the meeting packet had been posted and that notice required under the Kansas Open Meetings Act had been provided. During roll call, not enough commissioners were present to establish a quorum, prompting the adjournment.
