Salina Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Hammond Resigns
City of Salina Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Hammond has resigned from his position with the city, with his departure expected to take effect September 25th.
An exact effective date has not yet been officially confirmed.
Hammond has served as director of the Parks and Recreation Department since 2022 after previously serving as the department’s deputy director. He initially joined the City of Salina in 2016.
The Parks and Recreation Department oversees a range of city facilities and services, including city parks, recreation programs, Kenwood Cove Aquatics Park, the Salina Fieldhouse, Salina Municipal Golf Course and other operations.
Additional information regarding the circumstances of Hammond’s departure and the city’s plans for leadership of the department was not immediately available.
