The South Ninth Mystery: Is 7 Brew Finally Breaking Ground?

Salina311 has received unconfirmed reports that construction has begun on a 7 Brew Coffee location along South Ninth Street in Salina.

A recently released City of Salina building permit activity report adds another piece to the puzzle.

The city’s August 2026 building permit activity report lists an active permit for a new commercial building at 2530 S. Ninth Street.

The permit, #26-0005-NEW, was issued Aug. 21, 2026, and is listed as active.

The report confirms that new commercial construction is underway at that address, but the permit activity report does not identify the business or tenant associated with the project. Salina311 has not yet located a city document directly connecting the 2530 S. Ninth Street project to 7 Brew.

Salina311 previously reported May 21 that economic development sources had connected the drive-thru beverage chain to a future Salina location. Specific site details were not publicly announced at that time.

The company’s official Kansas location directory also does not currently list a Salina location.

So, for now, the pieces are starting to line up — but the key document naming 7 Brew is still missing.
