Haworth Home wins Salina311's Halloween Home Decorating Contest
The votes are in, and the Haworth Home at 2625 Carolina Drive has won Salina311's Halloween Home Decorating Contest.
Ryan and Lindsey Haworth's home took first place with 29.7% of the vote. Rick and Tanya Garrison's home at 2752 Melanie Lane finished as runner-up with 19.5%.
Readers cast 8,453 votes in the community poll, which featured 10 Salina homes and ran Saturday, Sunday and into Monday. Voting was kept open a little longer than planned because of everyone's busy schedules, and with Salina hosting the President on Sunday, we knew plates were full and wanted to give everyone a chance to vote.
Congratulations to the Haworths and the Garrisons, and thank you to every family who decorated, entered and helped make Salina's front yards a little spookier this season. Thanks also to everyone who took the time to vote.
Winner: The Haworth Home
Runner-up: The Garrison Home
