Salina YMCA Hosting Outdoor Teen Movie Night Saturday
The Salina Family YMCA will host an outdoor Teen Night movie event this Saturday, June 6, giving area teens a chance to spend the evening outside with friends.
The event will run from 9 to 11 p.m. and marks a new version of the YMCA’s regular Teen Night program. Instead of the traditional format, the YMCA is turning the evening into an outdoor movie night, because apparently teenagers can still be convinced to leave the house when snacks and a screen are involved.
The YMCA said the event is designed to provide a safe and welcoming place for teens to relax, connect with friends, and enjoy a casual summer evening.
“We’re excited to offer something different for teens in our community,” said Morgan Walsh, Teen & Family Director. “This outdoor movie night provides a safe, welcoming space where teens can enjoy time together in a fun setting.”
Snacks and drinks will be provided for registered participants.
The event is open to teens in the Salina area, but registration is required. Participants can sign up online at:
