Salina commission to consider 2027 downtown Business Improvement District fees

The Salina City Commission will consider Ordinance No. 26-11300 on Monday, Nov. 9, levying Salina Business Improvement District No. 1 service fees for 2027.

The BID Board and Salina Downtown Inc. have recommended no increase for 2027. Budgeted BID fees paid to SDI for 2027 are $130,000, the same as the 2026 budgeted amount.

BID No. 1 covers certain downtown areas. Since 1987, the city has contracted with Salina Downtown Inc. to administer district programs. Fees are billed by the city Finance Department and passed through for program administration.
