Salina commission to consider Fieldhouse vertical conveyor bid of up to $85,607

The Salina City Commission will consider awarding a bid Monday, Nov. 9, for a vertical reciprocating conveyor at the Salina Fieldhouse from Autoquip VRC for $83,162, plus $2,445 in electrical work by Precision Electric, for a total authorization not to exceed $85,607.

The lift would move sports equipment and materials between a 3,750-square-foot ground-level storage area and a 2,250-square-foot mezzanine. Three bids were received: Autoquip at $83,162, PFLOW at $84,128 and Wildeck at $92,332.

The 2026 vehicles and equipment capital plan included $90,000 for a service lift at the Fieldhouse. The proposed award would come in $4,393 under that budget.
