Saline County to consider $94,710 in initial design fees for Health Department move

The Saline County Commission will consider an architectural and engineering agreement with Tessere for renovations at 651 E. Prescott Road at its Tuesday, Nov. 10, meeting at 9 a.m. at 300 W. Ash in Salina.

The building would become the home of the Health Department and other county operations. Tessere would provide design work, construction documents, coordination with construction manager Hutton and construction administration.

The proposed fees are $21,287 for schematic design and $73,423 for design development, totaling $94,710 for those two phases. Construction documents would cost an additional 3% of construction cost, and construction administration would cost 1.1%. Reimbursable expenses would be billed separately.

The percentage-based fees would use the construction cost established through the guaranteed-maximum-price process. Staff recommend approval.
