Saline County road update to cover $75,000 flood reimbursement and winter preparations

The Saline County Commission will hear a Road and Bridge report covering September and October at its Tuesday, Nov. 10, meeting at 9 a.m. at 300 W. Ash in Salina.

The report includes completion of $75,000 in reimbursement for the 2025 flood response, replacement of 13 culverts, countywide road striping, repairs or replacement of 137 signs, and grading of 1,419 miles of rural roads.

Upcoming work includes snow and ice preparations, continued culvert replacements, completion of mowing, and winter bridge clearing and tree trimming. The department is also administering FEMA projects related to an April hailstorm and June windstorm.
